West Bank Settlement Leaders Demand Netanyahu Announce Sovereignty Next Sunday

Bardugo is known to be one of the journalists close to Netanyahu, often revealing his plans and orientations as he did multiple times regarding Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, Yemen, and Syria.

As translated by SadaNews, citing Channel 14 where he works, he indicated that this move aims to respond to the efforts of Arab and European countries to make a decision regarding the recognition of a Palestinian state within the framework of the annual United Nations conference.

The settlement leaders stated in their message: "Over the past two years, your government has sought to change the situation in various battlefields. In Gaza, although the long-awaited solution has not yet been achieved, the reality has changed irreparably. In Lebanon, Nasrallah has been defeated, and the Be'er Sheva operation will be remembered in history. Israeli soldiers stand proudly on top of Mount Hermon, and even in Iran, you have led the change of reality by attacking nuclear facilities."

The message added: "Unfortunately, only Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) remain, and the clear message is: Judea and Samaria are an integral part of the sovereign state of Israel. Israeli hesitance is the main factor in reinforcing plans to establish an Arab terrorist state in the heart of the country,'' according to their description as translated by SadaNews.

The message concluded: "The Knesset has decided, in a historic overwhelming majority decision, that the time has come to apply sovereignty, and it urged the government to do so, and you too voted in favor of this important decision. Here, the application of sovereignty extensively, and not within the framework of blocs, is an unavoidable reality. We demand you to propose a decision to apply Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria in the government meeting next Sunday. This is the correct decision, Jewish, historical, moral, and security-wise."

On the twenty-third of last month, the Knesset voted with a majority of 71 members in favor of a declaration calling for the application of sovereignty over the West Bank and the Jordan Valley.
