5 Deaths Due to Hunger Including a Child in Gaza Strip Within 24 Hours
SadaNews - The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced today, Monday, the death of 5 citizens, including a child, due to famine and malnutrition, recorded by hospitals in the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours.
It reported that the total number of victims of famine and malnutrition has risen to 222 martyrs, including 101 children.
The occupation authorities have closed all crossings with the Gaza Strip since March 2, 2025, and prevent the entry of most food and medical aid, causing famine to spread within the sector.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) had warned that malnutrition among children under five years old had doubled between March and June due to the continued blockade.
