Families of Israeli Prisoners Attack Netanyahu: "Death Cabinet" Determines the Fate of Prisoners in Gaza
SadaNews - Families of Israeli prisoners and detainees protested on Saturday evening at the entrance of the Ministry of Defense in Tel Aviv, following the Cabinet's decision to occupy the city of Gaza, coinciding with renewed protests in Tel Aviv and several intersections and towns across the country demanding an end to the war on Gaza and reaching a prisoner exchange deal with Hamas.
The spokesperson for the families of prisoners and the mother of one of the Israeli prisoners attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying, "If you occupy parts of the Gaza Strip and kill the captives, we will pursue you in the arenas and electoral campaigns at all times and places. We will remind the people of Israel day and night that you were capable of reaching a prisoner exchange deal and chose to kill them. Your hands will be stained with their blood."
She added, "The Cabinet determined the fate of the prisoners last Thursday, so the living will be killed while the bodies of the dead will disappear forever. What leaked from that session proves that this is not a political-security cabinet but a death cabinet."
She continued, "There is no popular support for this path, and most of the people want to end the war and bring everyone back to their homes. Netanyahu must propose a comprehensive agreement to genuinely and practically end the war, but he chose to kill them and imposed an endless war on us."
The spokesperson for the families of Israeli prisoners stated, "Israel must stop the killing of prisoners, as the state is not the government but its citizens; therefore, everyone must help save the captives, soldiers, and the country."
She addressed the Israeli public, saying, "While the Chief of Staff says that soldiers are being sent to death ambushes, life cannot go on as usual for both the captives and the soldiers alike. Come down to the streets with us and stop the state and the economy."
In the "Captives Square" in Tel Aviv, a "Hunger Strike" was organized following the release of footage showing two Israeli captives suffering from starvation in the Gaza Strip. The families of the prisoners stated, "Do not allow our loved ones to be sacrificed on the altar of an endless war. The return of the fifty captives and the only captive woman is the true Israeli victory. This is the only national interest; bring them back before it is too late."
The families of Israeli prisoners are scheduled to hold a press conference at 11:00 AM tomorrow, Sunday, to announce the official date for the start of a comprehensive economic strike with the participation of private companies, organizations, unions, and individuals, in addition to presenting new joint protest steps under the slogan "Silence Kills – We Stop the State to Save the Captives and Soldiers."
