Martyr due to an Israeli airstrike targeting a vehicle in the town of Ainata in southern Lebanon
SadaNews - A person was martyred this evening, Saturday, as a result of an Israeli airstrike targeting a vehicle between the towns of Aytaroun and Ainata in the district of Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon, as part of the continuation of Israeli aggression on Lebanese territories.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health stated in a statement that "the enemy's Israeli airstrike on a car in the town of Ainata in the district of Bint Jbeil resulted in a martyr."
Lebanese media reported that the martyr was Hadi Ali Khanfar, while a video clip showed that the bombing completely destroyed the vehicle.
The Lebanese agency reported early Saturday that Israeli drones were observed flying over Sidon and the area, in the skies of the city of Nabatieh and the region, over the Teffah area, and in the skies of Hermel in the south of the country.
This airstrike comes amid the ongoing Israeli attacks on villages and towns in southern Lebanon, despite the ceasefire agreement being in effect; however, Israel has violated it thousands of times since the end of 2024.
The Israeli army announces almost daily the execution of airstrikes on Lebanon, claiming that its attacks target elements and sites of Hezbollah to "prevent its re-positioning and rehabilitating its capabilities."
