The Minister of Interior and his Jordanian counterpart discuss mechanisms to improve citizens' travel conditions across King Hussein Bridge

SadaNews - The Minister of Interior, Major General Ziad Hab Al-Reeh, and his Jordanian counterpart Mazen Al-Farraya discussed today, Wednesday, the travel conditions of citizens across King Hussein Bridge and mechanisms for improving them.

The two ministers, during a meeting held on the Jordanian side of King Hussein Bridge, reviewed the progress of work, especially given the active movement during the summer season, and listened to the opinions and observations of several travelers.

The Minister of Interior praised the steadfast and supportive position of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan regarding the rights of the Palestinian people, commending the Jordanian Minister of Interior's prompt response and the immediate measures taken to resolve the crisis at the bridge, reflecting the official Jordanian interest in this issue.

The two sides agreed to hold meetings as needed within the framework of ongoing cooperation and coordination between the two sides with the aim of improving citizens' travel conditions and ensuring their smooth and easy movement, while rejecting any manifestations that are outside the law.

As part of continuous field follow-up, the Minister of Interior inspected the Al-Karama crossing where he was received by the head of the General Authority for Crossings and Borders, Nazmi Mahna, and the directors of the security agencies operating at the crossing. The minister was briefed on the operations in the departure lounge that started operating at the beginning of the week and inspected the Ministry of Interior's office that was opened in the travelers' lounge, affirming the commitment to continue working to improve the quality of services provided to citizens and facilitate their access to them.
