Occupation Decides to Ban Mufti of Jerusalem from Al-Aqsa for 6 Months
SadaNews - The Israeli occupation authorities decided today, Wednesday, to ban the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and Palestine, Sheikh Muhammad Hussein, from the Al-Aqsa Mosque for a period of 6 months.
The Governorate of Jerusalem, citing lawyer Khaldoun Najm, stated that the occupation decided to ban Sheikh Hussein from "Al-Aqsa" for 6 months after the conclusion of his previous ban that lasted 8 days. This decision follows his Friday sermon in which he condemned the starvation policy employed by the occupation against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
The occupation forces had summoned the mufti on the 27th of last month and handed him a ban decision from the mosque for eight days, which was subject to renewal.
