The Occupation Warns of Evacuating New Areas in the Zeitoun Neighborhood East of Gaza

SadaNews - The Israeli occupation army issued new evacuation warnings today, Wednesday, for the remaining citizens in 9 areas in the Zeitoun neighborhood east of Gaza City, urging them to head south towards the Al-Mawasi area in southern Gaza Strip.

The citizens in these areas were warned to "evacuate immediately" towards the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis City, as the warning comes amidst escalating aerial and ground bombardments by the occupation on Gaza, and the continued forced displacement of tens of thousands of citizens from their homes, alongside UN warnings of worsening humanitarian disaster.

On June 29, the occupation had warned citizens to evacuate areas in the Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City, and it periodically issues similar warnings covering various areas of the Strip.

The occupation army demands citizens to head south, claiming that those are "safe areas," yet it continues to bomb all regions of the Strip, including those it calls them to flee to or gather in to receive aid.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) stated last month that 82% of the Gaza Strip is under evacuation orders from the occupation, and that citizens find no place to seek refuge as the destruction of facilities and shelters continues.
