Occupation injures 3 Palestinians in Ramallah and arrests a journalist in Hebron
SadaNews - Three citizens, including a child, were injured by live ammunition last night during an incursion by Israeli occupation forces into the Al-Am'ari refugee camp in the city of Al-Bireh, where several homes were raided and three young men were arrested.
Local sources reported that a special unit from the occupation army stormed the Al-Am'ari camp, before the occupation deployed its military vehicles at the entrance of the camp, noting that the occupation soldiers fired live ammunition, resulting in the injury of two young men and a child.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society stated that the occupation forces prevented its crews from reaching the camp, amid reports of injuries from the occupation's gunfire. Occupation soldiers also positioned themselves at the entrance of the Society's main headquarters on Al-Quds Street, near the Al-Am'ari camp.
Later, the Society reported that its crews managed to transfer a 9-year-old child who was injured by live ammunition in the back, along with two young men who were injured by live ammunition in the thigh.
Security sources also reported that the occupation forces arrested three young men following the storming and searching of their homes; they are: Amour Abu Atiyah, Yazan Haboub, and Osama Abdel Mohsen.
In another context, the occupation forces arrested a journalist after midnight last night after storming the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron.
Local sources told the official agency that the occupation forces invaded the town and conducted a campaign of raids and searches that targeted several citizen homes in the Al-Zahr area and Sheikh Fatima Street.
Citizen Muhammad Abu Ayash reported that the occupation forces raided his house, searched it, and tampered with its contents before arresting his daughter, journalist Farah Abu Ayash (24 years old).
Since the onset of the comprehensive Israeli aggression against Palestinians on October 7, 2023, Israeli occupation forces have arrested or detained more than 194 journalists, of whom 49 still remain in custody, according to data from prisoner institutions.
