Video - Aerial Aid Drops in Gaza Amid Distribution Chaos
SadaNews - A correspondent for "Sada News" in the Gaza Strip reported that aircraft belonging to Arab and other international countries are conducting aerial aid drops today, Tuesday, flying from the skies of northern Gaza towards the central and southern regions.
Despite the importance of this initiative, field reports indicate that the dropped aid covers less than 1% of the population's needs, due to being subjected to looting and theft by unknown entities, as is also happening with land relief trucks.
For their part, international and UN organizations confirmed that the aerial drop mechanism is ineffective in the absence of guarantees for the safe and fair access of aid to its rightful recipients, which deepens the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the sector.
