SadaNews - Palestinians in the homeland and diaspora commemorated on Sunday the national and international day in support of Gaza and the prisoners, rejecting genocide, the crime of starvation, colonialism, and policies of forced displacement, as well as confronting the ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people wherever they may be.

Today, Sunday, the provinces of the West Bank witnessed vigils and demonstrations as part of the events for the "National and International Day to Support Gaza and the Prisoners".

The total number of prisoners in Israeli occupation prisons exceeds 10,800, including 49 female prisoners and more than 450 children. The number of administrative detainees in the occupation's prisons is approximately 3,629, and the number classified by the occupation authorities as "illegal combatants" exceeds 2,454, according to prisoner institutions.

Since October 7, 2023, at least 75 prisoners have been martyred in the occupation's prisons, their identities revealed and announced, among them 46 martyrs from Gaza detainees, in addition to dozens of Gaza detainees who were martyred in prisons and camps whose identities and circumstances of their martyrdom have not been disclosed by the occupation, as they remain subjected to enforced disappearance, along with dozens who faced field executions.

It is noted that the occupation is holding the bodies of 72 prisoners among the martyrs who have been announced since the start of the genocide campaign, part of 83 martyrs whose remains the occupation continues to hold.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, the occupying power, has been waging a war on the Gaza Strip that has resulted in 60,430 martyrs, 148,722 injured, most of whom are children and women, and over 11,000 missing, amidst massive devastation and famine that has claimed the lives of 1,422 martyrs, most of whom are children.
