Israeli Pessimism Regarding the Deal and New Agreement with America Toward a Comprehensive Deal, Witkov to Visit Gaza Tomorrow

SadaNews Translation - Hebrew media reported this Thursday evening that estimates in Israel indicate that the chances of reaching an agreement with Hamas are very slim, and that expanding military operations is the most likely option.

The Hebrew channel Reshet Kan quoted a political source saying, as translated by SadaNews, that there is currently no progress toward resuming negotiations, and that the next steps will include a larger military movement.

The source accused Hamas of closing the door to any deal that could have served as a pathway to end the war, indicating that Israel is not prepared to end it on its side.

According to other sources, Hamas is currently unwilling to return to the negotiating table. Another source stated that we are heading toward another military option that will harm Hamas.

According to the channel, Israel plans to escalate its rhetoric against Hamas and may actually proceed to annex areas from Gaza.

Channel 12 reported, citing American and Israeli sources, as translated by SadaNews, that there is a developing understanding between Israel and the United States that in light of Hamas's refusal to advance negotiations, the transition will move from a plan to release some hostages to a plan for their complete release and the dismantling of Hamas's weapons and disarmament of the Gaza Strip within the framework of a comprehensive deal.

At the same time, Israel and the United States will work to increase humanitarian aid while fighting continues in Gaza, the same sources said.

According to the channel, Israel provided its response to Hamas through intermediaries, which included a categorical rejection of ending the work of the American agency that provides aid to Gazans, while committing to send 500 trucks into the territory. It also rejected the release of any of those involved in the October 7 attacks and refused to exit the designated buffer zone of 800 to 1200 meters.

At the same time, U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff will visit the Gaza Strip tomorrow, Friday, to observe the humanitarian situation in the territory himself and will be accompanied by Israeli officials and several senior officers, and he will also tour food distribution centers, the channel reported.

In this context, the White House stated that Witkoff, along with Ambassador Mike Huckabee, held very constructive discussions with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other officials regarding the delivery of aid to Gaza.

The White House spokesperson indicated that Witkoff will visit the Gaza Strip to oversee the process of aid delivery and meet with the residents of Gaza to hear the situation on the ground directly.

Witkoff will inform U.S. President Donald Trump of the situation for approval of the U.S. aid plan for Gaza.
