Settlers Expand Colonial Outpost in the Village of Shallal Al-Awja North of Jericho
SadaNews - Settlers began pouring ready-mix concrete today, Wednesday, in the village of Shallal Al-Awja north of Jericho, in preparation for the establishment of new colonial units in the outpost that has been in the area for several months.
Hassan Mlihhat, the general supervisor of the "Baidar" organization for defending the rights of Bedouins and Bedouin villages, explained to the official agency that this step comes amid escalating violations by settlers against Palestinian Bedouin communities, and the continuation of expansion works being carried out with clear collusion from the occupation authorities, in an attempt to impose a fait accompli on the ground and expand colonial influence in the territory.
Mlihhat warned of the serious repercussions of these practices, which contribute to the displacement of the indigenous population and the control over water resources and agricultural lands.
