King of Jordan: Humanitarian Aid in Gaza Cannot Be Politicized
SadaNews - His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan emphasized the necessity of keeping humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip free from any political agendas, pointing out that the humanitarian situation there has reached levels that are "indescribable".
King Abdullah reiterated during his remarks today that "aid in Gaza cannot be used as a political tool", calling for an immediate cessation of the ongoing war in the region. He also warned of the continued dangerous escalation in the West Bank, which could ignite a broader conflict in the area.
He added that the devastation and humanitarian crisis in the region requires urgent international action to end the suffering and provide support to the citizens away from political calculations.
The King's statements come amidst the ongoing painful events in Gaza and the West Bank, amid increasing calls for a ceasefire.
