Reports: Britain Approaches Recognition of the Palestinian State
SadaNews - The "New York Times" reported that British government officials have said that Prime Minister Keir Starmer is nearing the recognition of the Palestinian state.
It continued: "Starmer's push to recognize the Palestinian state is driven by public pressure due to the famine in Gaza."
For its part, the Financial Times reported from the office of Prime Minister Keir Starmer that Britain's recognition of a Palestinian state is a matter of time.
It added: Recognizing the state of Palestine should be a step towards sustainable peace.
The Financial Times stated: "Senior ministers are pressing the British Prime Minister to recognize the Palestinian state next September."
