American Senator: Israel Will Do in Gaza "What We Did in Tokyo and Berlin"

When asked if he believed hostages would return alive if Israel proceeded as he explained, Graham expressed hope. He said: "I think there are people, perhaps, in Hamas who will accept safe passage if they release the hostages," implying that Israel should offer this to Hamas. He added, "Hamas can end this tomorrow by laying down their arms and releasing the hostages. There is no future for the Palestinian people as long as Hamas exists. Therefore, all I can say is that you will witness, I believe, in the days and weeks ahead, a military effort to destroy Hamas, similar to what we did in Tokyo and Berlin to destroy the Nazis and the Japanese."
