Yedioth Ahronoth: The Israeli Army Conceals Its Losses During the Gaza War
SadaNews - The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that 18,500 soldiers from the Israeli army and security forces have been injured since the onset of the aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, despite the army officially announcing that only 6,145 soldiers were injured.
The newspaper clarified that more than 10,000 soldiers are suffering from psychological disorders and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Additionally, 1,600 soldiers were recognized as suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder in 2024, compared to significantly lower numbers in previous wars.
The occupation is keeping its human and material losses confidential by imposing strict military censorship on the media, facing internal accusations of concealing larger numbers.
