Martyrs and Injuries in Intensive Israeli Airstrikes on Gaza Since Midnight

SadaNews: Palestinian medical sources reported that more than 25 Palestinians have been martyred and dozens injured in a series of intensive Israeli airstrikes targeting several areas in the Gaza Strip since midnight Monday, most of which concentrated on the city of Khan Younis in the southern sector.

The Israeli airstrikes targeted several residential homes in the Mwasai and Japanese neighborhood areas west of Khan Younis. Medical sources added that among the victims are several missing individuals who remain under the rubble, while Civil Defense crews continue their search and rescue operations to retrieve the wounded and martyrs from beneath the rubble of the bombed houses.

In the central Gaza Strip, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs hospital reported the arrival of two martyrs and several injuries due to an Israeli bombing that targeted a house in the Al-Bassa area of Deir al-Balah, and another house in the Al-Maghazi camp in the central region, which resulted in the martyrdom of 3 citizens and injuries to others.

Israeli occupation aircraft launched intense airstrikes on the Mwasai area west of Khan Younis, coinciding with heavy artillery shelling of the Katiba area in the middle of the city, while the occupation forces executed demolition operations of residential homes in Khan Younis.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported yesterday (Sunday) that 88 Palestinians were martyred and 374 others were wounded by the fire of the Israeli occupation army in the sector over the past 24 hours, and the toll of the Israeli aggression since October 7, 2023 has risen to 59,821 martyrs and 144,851 injured.

This comes while the spokesperson for the Israeli occupation army claimed that the army has presented plans to the political level for the continuation of fighting in Gaza, stating that the sector remains the "main battlefield," claiming that what is known as "Operation Gideon's Chariots" has achieved all its objectives in the sector.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been waging a genocide campaign against Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring international calls and the orders of the International Court of Justice to stop, which have resulted in more than 204,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, the majority of whom are children and women, as well as over 10,000 missing persons, in addition to hundreds of thousands displaced, and famine that has claimed many lives.
