According to the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth's website, the Israeli police released a new image of the assailant, Arkan Khaled (27 years old), a resident of Taibe.

According to the site, as translated by SadaNews, a large number of police and border guard forces participated in an extensive manhunt for the assailant, including units from the undercover police and intelligence.

Investigations show that the assailant asked a friend in Lod for a Toyota car "to buy bread," before heading to the area to execute the attack.

The owner of the vehicle has been detained for questioning, along with other individuals connected to it.

After the attack, the assailant left the vehicle in the Beit Lid area and fled on foot.
