No Safe Place.. New Deaths Due to Famine in Gaza and Hundreds Threatened
SadaNews - On Saturday, new deaths were reported in the Gaza Strip due to the famine ravaging the area.
According to medical sources, at least two cases have been reported since dawn today, including one child in Gaza City and another in the southern Gaza Strip.
The Nasser Medical Complex announced the death of six-month-old Zainab Abu Khleib due to starvation and malnutrition.
There has been a rising number of death cases related to malnourishment, totaling over 60 since the beginning of this year, most of which occurred during this and last month.
The Health Ministry in Gaza stated in a brief statement that, after warning repeatedly that hundreds are likely to join the records of those crushed by famine, it is not expected that these records will close anytime soon.
Furthermore, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) stated that people in Gaza are being forced to displace again by orders from Israel, and they have nowhere to go.
The agency added on its account on the "X" platform that there is no safe place in Gaza and that people are suffering, stating: "No one is safe in Gaza, not a relief worker, not a health worker, nor an employee of the United Nations.".
It continued: "No one is safe... for people have endured over 650 days of relentless, unending killing, experiencing destruction and despair."
