Newspaper: The Lebanese Army Dismantles a Hamas Training Site East of Beirut
SadaNews - It has been revealed that the Lebanese Army managed to dismantle a camp designated and equipped with equipment and weapons for training armed fighters from Lebanon and other nationalities, in the town of Tbiat in the Aley District east of Beirut.
According to a Lebanese security source speaking to the London-based "Asharq Al-Awsat" newspaper, the training camp includes armed militants from the Palestinian Hamas movement, as well as the Fajr forces, the military wing of the Islamic Group in Lebanon.
According to the same source, this indicates their persistence in the military approach and their commitment to rebuilding their combat capabilities.
The source noted that 10 individuals were arrested, most of whom were residents of Beirut, along with their associates who are Jordanian nationals.
The detainees were described as significant elements, particularly since the fathers of some of them had fought on the southern front and were assassinated by Israel in the last war.
