A Convoy of Jordanian Aid Crosses into Northern Gaza
SadaNews - The Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization has today, Wednesday, organized a food aid convoy in coordination with the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army, heading towards northern Gaza.
The convoy was deployed as part of ongoing Jordanian efforts to support food security in the Gaza Strip, within a framework of intensive humanitarian coordination to meet the urgent needs of affected populations.
The convoy included a total of 36 trucks loaded with food supplies, which were successively introduced into the northern areas of the Strip via the "Zikim" crossing, where the region is suffering from dire humanitarian conditions due to the escalation of hostilities and the repeated disruption of supply chains.
This step is part of the continuous support from the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization to international organizations operating in Gaza, as the "Global Central Kitchen" organization aims to provide ready meals and urgent food assistance to hard-to-reach areas, in partnership with entities operating on the ground.
The use of the northern crossing is an important logistical point for delivering aid to northern Gaza, amid restrictions imposed on traditional crossings and the worsening humanitarian crisis resulting from shortages of food, water, and medicines.
The Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization continues its efforts to facilitate the passage of humanitarian aid through various routes, reaffirming Jordan's longstanding humanitarian role in supporting the Palestinian people and responding to the increasing needs in the Gaza Strip.
