Smotrich Backtracks on His Threat to Resign if Aid is Sent to Gaza
SadaNews - Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich announced his reversal of a previous threat to resign from the Israeli government if humanitarian aid was sent to the Gaza Strip.
He stated in a comment relayed by the Israeli Army Radio: "I may have been wrong when I said I would resign from the government if aid were sent to Gaza."
This reversal comes amid escalating international pressure on Israel due to the worsening humanitarian crisis in the area, with relief organizations warning of a looming famine and calling for the lifting of the blockade and urgent permission for aid to enter.
