Russia announces thwarting of sabotage attempt targeting an oil refinery
SadaNews - The Russian Federal Security Service has announced the thwarting of a sabotage operation planned by a citizen from one of the Central Asian countries under the guidance of a terrorist organization abroad, targeting an oil refinery in southern Russia.
According to the Federal Security Service's statement, the detainee prepared incendiary devices to set fire to a workers' accommodation belonging to the oil refinery in the Krasnodar region in southwestern Russia, and intended to flee to Afghanistan to join an international terrorist organization.
It was reported that he intended to broadcast a video of the operation online and on social media platforms to intimidate the residents and spread fear among the local population.
