Arrests and Raids in the West Bank Cities
SadaNews - The Israeli occupation forces continue to escalate their military actions in the occupied West Bank, as they intensified their raids and assaults in several cities and towns on Tuesday morning, alongside the rise in settler attacks on Palestinian residents and their properties, amidst the widening scope of Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.
In Nablus Governorate in the northern West Bank, the occupation forces stormed the entrance to the town of Beita and assaulted a young man. They also conducted simultaneous raids in the villages of Burqa, Til, Salem, and Deir al-Hatab, which involved violent confrontations, especially in Burqa, where the forces fired live ammunition following clashes with resistance fighters. Military checkpoints were set up at the entrances to the villages, where vehicles were searched and citizens' identities were checked.
In the Al-Junaid neighborhood of Nablus city, the Israeli forces raided Palestinian homes and carried out an extensive search campaign.
To the north of the West Bank, the occupation forces stormed the town of Ramin east of Tulkarem, detaining citizens and vehicles and subjecting them to searches, while restricting the movement of residents. They also conducted a campaign of arrests in the village of Imatin east of Qalqilya and raided the city of Hebron in the south, where violent confrontations were recorded in the town of Tuqu east of Bethlehem.
In parallel with the military raids, settlers launched attacks on Palestinian villages, the latest of which took place early today in the village of Burqa east of Al-Bira, just hours after a similar assault on the town of Beitin north of Ramallah, which included burning vehicles and graffiti of racist slogans.
This escalation in the West Bank and Jerusalem comes in the context of the ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people, which has led to the martyrdom of at least 1,000 Palestinians in the West Bank and the injury of about 7,000 others, according to Palestinian data, since the war on Gaza began.
Israeli occupation forces arrested four Palestinians during their incursion into the towns of Beitunia and Kafr Ni'mah west of Ramallah: Bara' Al-Sarsour, Muhammad Ayman Abu Atiah, Ahmad Ishaq, and Ahmad Marwan.
The occupation forces also targeted a vehicle near Deir Jarar area amid the escalation of raids and arrests in the region.
