The Haredi Shas Party Withdraws from Netanyahu's Government
SadaNews Translation - The Haredi Shas party announced its withdrawal from the Israeli government this Wednesday evening.
This decision came after a meeting of what is known as the Council of Torah Governance within the party, which determined the withdrawal process, without leaving the current governmental coalition.
According to the Hebrew Channel Reshet Kan, as translated by SadaNews, no bill will be supported in the Knesset to oust the government, while coalition laws related to health and education will be supported, and they will remain in the relevant Knesset committees.
The party confirmed its support for any deal that would bring back the hostages from Gaza.
According to the channel, the party will leave an opportunity for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to reach an agreement regarding the legislation of the exemption from military service law.
Thus, all Haredi parties have withdrawn from the Israeli government, while not allowing the dismantling of the governmental coalition so far.
