Al-Nabali to SadaNews: "The commercial and industrial chambers are not exclusive to anyone... Support for the Palestinian economy must be prioritized regardless of titles"

SadaNews - In a special interview conducted by SadaNews with the Vice President of the commercial and industrial chamber in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate, he stated that "the unity of the private sector is one of the top priorities of the Union of Commercial and Industrial Chambers, and we must be a strong entity with a distribution of powers away from 'personalization of matters' and away from monopoly,' adding, 'there must be understandings with private sector institutions.'

Regarding the statements made by the President of the Union of Industries, Nassar Nassar, about his openness to dialogue for cooperation with the commercial chambers and his pursuit of obtaining their powers, Al-Nabali commented: "I have previously proposed this suggestion, to reach understandings regarding the distribution of tasks, so that each party takes its role. In our meeting, I pointed to the lack of attention to this issue. We are one team and not dispersed; therefore, we must be united to support Palestinian industries and production. Indeed, many decisions have been issued by the Prime Minister's Council to support this sector."

He indicated to SadaNews that a dialogue will soon be held between the Union of Commercial and Industrial Chambers and the Union of Palestinian Industries, "to identify the requirements and how to support the Palestinian Union of Industries. As long as we are the Union of Commercial and Industrial Chambers, we should have a strong role in supporting industries, but we have somewhat failed in this support."

He added: "There are instructions from President Mahmoud Abbas supporting the unity of the Palestinian private sector," emphasizing that "anyone who prioritizes personal gain over the public interest will be expelled." Regarding the impact of separating agricultural industrial chambers from commercial ones, he said: "There should be no separation, but rather a distribution of tasks under the umbrella of commercial chambers, with powers and representation without carrying a name without effectiveness. Thus, the name should be associated with the content."
