Gaza Municipality Warns: Health Disaster Looms Due to Possible Overflow at Sheikh Radwan Pool
SadaNews - The Gaza Municipality has warned of a looming danger at the rainwater collection pool in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, due to the rising water level of the pool reaching a very dangerous level, posing a real threat to the lives of residents in the vicinity of the pool, amidst ongoing concerns about the possibility of overflow from the pool, which is filling with sewage water.
The municipality clarified that the water level of the pool has reached approximately 6.10 meters, due to the continuous inflow of sewage water into it daily, causing it to rise by an average of 30 centimeters per day.
In contrast, the operating hours of the pool’s drainage pumps have been reduced due to a decrease in the amount of fuel necessary to operate them and drain the incoming wastewater daily, as well as a reduction in the water level within the pool.
