Trump Expects Resolution to Gaza Negotiation Crisis as Israel Offers New Withdrawal Maps

SadaNews - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday evening that the crisis in Gaza has not been resolved, but an agreement may be reached soon.

Trump noted in his statements that his Middle East envoy, Steve Ricchetti, is working towards reaching an agreement.

He added: "We are doing well regarding Gaza, and I believe it is possible to reach an agreement soon."

These statements come amid confirmations from Palestinian and Israeli sides about the resumption of negotiations after a two-day halt.

According to consistent sources, Israel has provided new maps regarding its withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.

Axios reported that officials said Israel made an additional concession regarding the withdrawal of military forces from the region during the implementation of the deal.

It was indicated that Israel provided new maps for the withdrawal of its forces in the southern Gaza Strip, keeping them in an area less than two kilometers north of the Philadelphia route (Saladin - the Gaza and Egypt border in Rafah).

An Israeli official stated: "We are showing seriousness and a willingness to take additional steps toward reaching an agreement, and now it is Hamas's turn to show flexibility and engage seriously in the negotiations, and nothing will happen unless the United States makes a significant effort."

Meanwhile, Yedioth Ahronoth reported that U.S. sources informed the families of the Israeli hostages that Netanyahu managed to convince Trump to grant him an additional week to finalize the deal.

It was indicated that Trump has grown weary of the war in Gaza, but Netanyahu has managed to gain additional time.
