Hamas and Islamic Jihad Discuss Developments in Ongoing Negotiations Regarding Ceasefire Agreement in Gaza
SadaNews - Hamas stated this evening that a delegation from the movement, headed by Muhammad Darwish, the head of the leadership council, met with a leadership delegation from the Islamic Jihad movement headed by Secretary-General Ziyad al-Nakhalah.
According to a statement issued by Hamas, "The two delegations reflected on the immense sacrifices of our people and the humanitarian suffering caused by the genocide and starvation, alongside the daily scenes of massacres at the hands of the Zionist enemy aiming to push forward its wicked and dangerous plans against our people and their future. They also paused with pride and respect to acknowledge the heroic performance of the fighters, their courage, audacity, and the scale of losses they inflict daily on the enemy's army."
The statement continued: "The delegations discussed the developments in the ongoing negotiations, emphasizing that any negotiation must lead to achieving our people's goals and aspirations, foremost of which is the end of the war, the complete withdrawal of enemy forces, opening the crossings, and reconstruction."
In this context, the two delegations addressed the enemy's responses to the proposals submitted by the mediators to reach a ceasefire and the means of dealing with them.
