Iranian Parliament Official: Discovery of Spy Chips in the Shoes of International Atomic Energy Agency Inspectors

SadaNews - The Deputy Chairman of the National Security Committee in the Iranian Parliament, Mahmoud Nabavian, announced the discovery of "suspicious spy chips in the shoes of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors during their inspections of Iranian nuclear sites".

In an interview with the "Fars" news agency, Nabavian criticized the performance of the IAEA, saying: "It is certain that the agency's agents are spies; we do not want to raise slogans, this is a fact".

Referring to how some Iranian nuclear facilities are identified, he said: "How do they know, for example, that we have nuclear facilities in Natanz? They usually discover this either through satellites owned by the United States or through security agencies".

Nabavian added: "We ask Rafael Grossi, the Director General of the IAEA, you now have claims about three of our sites that you say have not been resolved, is it just that Israel provided you with information about these centers of ours? Did Israel provide you with documents from us? But why are you listening to Israel? Is Israel a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty? That’s why we say you are spying".

He continued, referencing the actions of Iran's Ministry of Intelligence in obtaining secret Israeli documents, saying: "The second interesting point is that our Ministry of Intelligence went and brought ten million documents from Israel. Interestingly, as members of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, we have to submit our reports to the agency, but Grossi submitted our reports to Israel! Grossi! When we say spying, we say it with evidence".

He affirmed: "In the past, when we submitted secret reports to the agency, before discussing them at the agency, the information was published in newspapers, while the publication of this information is prohibited and the agency should be held accountable; Israeli and American newspapers publish our information".

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that cooperation with the IAEA will continue but in a limited manner and under the supervision of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran.

Araghchi mentioned that Iran is ready to resume negotiations, provided that it is ensured that it will not be dragged into a military confrontation, criticizing American policies, stating: "The United States has betrayed the negotiating table by attacking Iranian nuclear facilities, which has complicated the path of diplomacy".
