Jordanian Interior Minister Inspects King Hussein Bridge After 'Platform Booking Crisis'

SadaNews - The spokesperson for the Jordanian Ministry of Interior, Dr. Abdulkarim Abu Dalo, confirmed that the Minister of Interior, Mazen Al-Farayah, is currently present at the King Hussein Bridge, after several travelers crossing the bridge called on the official authorities in the Kingdom to intervene immediately to address what they described as a "tight crisis and manipulation" affecting the electronic booking system "through the new platform" for transit tickets from Jordan to the West Bank.

He noted during an intervention on the "Al-Wakeel Program," which is broadcast on "Radio Hala," that the minister has monitored the comments of the affected travelers, confirming that they will notice a significant improvement in services starting today, Sunday.

He stated that the minister directed the necessity of matching the name for ticket bookings through the new platform, in addition to emphasizing the "Jett" company regarding the announced schedules and the names of travelers. The minister also instructed to work on alleviating the congestion on the bridge.

Earlier, several travelers crossing the King Hussein Bridge requested immediate intervention from the official authorities in the Kingdom, stating that the tickets allocated for public transport buses, which have an official price of about 7 dinars, have now been sold at exorbitant prices reaching up to 70 dinars due to the interference of intermediary offices and influential individuals.

They added that these individuals have monopolized all seats in order to resell them to travelers crossing the King Hussein Bridge on their way back to the West Bank.
