The Two-State Solution Conference, chaired by Saudi Arabia and France, will be held at the end of July
SadaNews - The international conference concerned with the peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue and the implementation of the two-state solution will take place on July 28 and 29, after it was originally scheduled to be hosted by the United Nations in June in New York, according to diplomatic sources on Friday.
The conference, called by the United Nations General Assembly to discuss the Palestinian issue and the two-state solution, was postponed at the last minute due to the war between Israel and Iran.
Diplomatic sources stated that the conference will be held on July 28 and 29, without disclosing further details about its agenda and the level of participation, whereas heads of state and government were expected to attend in June.
The conference will be co-chaired by France and Saudi Arabia.
French President Emmanuel Macron called on Thursday for joint recognition of the State of Palestine by France and the United Kingdom, while British Prime Minister Keir Starmer urged to "focus" on reaching a ceasefire in Gaza.
