Norway Rejects Israel's Plan to Transfer Gaza Strip Residents to Rafah
SadaNews: Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide emphasized that his country will resist Israel's plan to forcibly transfer Gaza Strip residents to Rafah in the south, describing the plan as contradictory to law and the right to self-determination.
He added that Israel must allow the provision of life-saving aid to Gaza residents.
Israel had announced its intention to establish a "humanitarian city" in Rafah to relocate residents from the al-Mawasi area, but human rights organizations considered this part of a plan aimed at displacing Palestinians from the Strip, aligning with statements made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about seeking countries willing to accept displaced people.
