Moscow: UN Officials Must Abandon Their Biased Path
SadaNews - The Russian Foreign Ministry has emphasized that Moscow insists on the necessity for some UN officials to abandon their biased path and demands that they stop acting as a mouthpiece for Western propaganda regarding the Ukrainian crisis.
The ministry stated in a statement commenting on the recent remarks of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres: "Russia insists that UN officials abandon their biased path and calls upon them to stop acting as a mouthpiece for Western propaganda and as disseminators of misleading and false information. Russia emphasizes the need for them to take a neutral and responsible stance suitable to their position, and to work only with reliable sources of information."
The ministry noted that Guterres' recent statements denouncing alleged Russian attacks indicate his support for the Kyiv regime.
The Foreign Ministry stated that Guterres' statement on July 5, in which he condemned the Russian Federation in the context of the conflict in Ukraine, reflects his bias and shortsightedness.
The ministry mentioned that Guterres and his subordinates regularly and systematically pick up and disseminate the lies fabricated by Ukraine and Western countries against Russia.
Guterres had "strongly condemned the recent series of attacks launched by Russia on Ukraine using drones and missiles, which were reported to be the largest in more than three years of conflict."
