Medvedev: The American Returns to His Favorite Political Swing by Supplying Ukraine with Weapons
SadaNews - Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, commented on U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to increase arms supplies to Kyiv, stating that the Russian response will involve continuing the military operation and achieving its objectives.
Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel: "The American returns to his favorite political swing once again."
He added, commenting on Trump's statements regarding the settlement in Ukraine: Trump's announcements of "I am satisfied with the results of my talks with Putin... I am not satisfied with the results of my call with Putin... We are not supplying Ukraine with new weapons... We will supply Ukraine with a lot of weapons for defense."
Medvedev questioned: "How are we to deal with this? We will handle it as before, in the same way that our warriors do and in the same way that the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces does."
He concluded: "Without any response... We will continue to achieve the objectives of the military operation in Ukraine, reclaim our lands, and fight until victory."
Last night, Trump pledged to send more weapons to Ukraine, emphasizing that they would primarily be defensive in nature.
The Pentagon announced following Trump's statement that it would send "primarily defensive weapons" to Ukraine.
