Netanyahu Before Heading to Washington: "An Opportunity to Expand the Circle of Peace" and We Will Agree to a Deal Only on Our Terms

SadaNews - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated, prior to his departure to the U.S. capital, Washington, this Sunday evening, that Israel will agree to a deal "only on its terms," noting that there is "an opportunity to expand the circle of peace."

Netanyahu is heading to the United States tonight to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump; he is also expected to meet with other officials in the U.S. administration.

Upon arriving at the airport’s runway this evening, Netanyahu remarked that "there is an opportunity to expand the circle of peace," adding that he intends, in his conversation with Trump, to thank him, saying: "Our joint work has led to a great victory over our common enemy, Iran."

The Israeli Prime Minister addressed the potential agreement regarding Gaza and the exchange of prisoners, saying: "We are still on the Gaza front. We have great achievements and missions that must be completed."

He added, "So far, we have released 205 hostages, 20 of whom are still alive, while 30 others have died, and we are determined to ensure that Gaza does not pose a threat to Israel, and we will not allow soldiers to be held captive or civilians to be threatened any longer."

According to what the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation ("Kan 11") reported, "unlike usual, U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, joined the trip. When asked whether a ceasefire and prisoner exchange would be reached, he replied: 'I am just an ambassador, not a prophet.'"
