The Government Call Center Monitors the Most Important Interventions Implemented by the Government Last Week

SadaNews - The Government Call Center issued its weekly report today, Sunday, showing the most important developmental and reform interventions carried out by the Palestinian government during the past week (29/06/2025–05/07/2025), as follows:

Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa confirmed during the last cabinet session the continued efforts of the presidency and the government, despite the challenges, to stop the aggression against our people in Gaza and the West Bank and to secure the release of the clearance funds in cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries, in order to alleviate the economic crisis and protect the resilience of national institutions.

He called for intensifying international pressure on the occupation to stop the killing, starvation, and displacement in Gaza, and to ensure humanitarian delivery of aid, especially after the martyrdom of more than 600 citizens and the injury of thousands waiting for aid since the resumption of the aggression.

The Ministry of Social Development implemented humanitarian interventions in several governorates, in cooperation with international and charitable organizations; direct cash assistance was transferred amounting to 1,640 shekels for each family benefiting 513 families, totaling 841,320 shekels, as part of the comprehensive response plan. The ministry also distributed more than 590 food parcels and relief materials worth over 215,000 shekels under the support of the World Food Program, in addition to interventions from the Red Crescent and Anira worth 78,480 shekels.

The Energy Authority and North Electricity Company completed a project to expand the medium voltage network in Asira and Zawata over a length of 20 km, financed by the World Bank under "ASPIRE 1", to improve efficiency and accommodate solar energy. In Bayt Lid - Tulkarem, a medium-voltage project was implemented over a length of 3.3 km to supply the industrial area in Deir Sharaf, with the establishment of a solar power station with a capacity of 5 megawatts to support energy security in Bayt Lid.

In Tubas, the network was developed over a length of 11 km between Jalma and Tayaseer, in addition to granting "Muslimani Energy Solutions" a license for a solar station with a capacity of 10 megawatts and a storage capacity of 26.25 megawatt-hours.

In the south, the head of the Energy Authority discussed with the mayors of Yatta, Dora, and Al-Dhahiriya, and the Ministry of Finance restructuring the Southern Electricity Company and settling obligations, while emphasizing improving collections and establishing cost centers.

The Minister of Agriculture discussed with the Palm Farmers Cooperative in Jericho and the Jordan Valley the challenges facing this vital sector and ways to support it. He also decided to form a high committee to assess date production for the 2025-2026 season. In the context of supporting agricultural technology, he discussed with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization the steps to complete the establishment of the Palestinian Center for Agricultural Technology Transfer.

The enhancement of bilateral cooperation was also discussed with the South African ambassador, including signing a memorandum of understanding to develop agricultural trade exchange and share experiences. Regarding direct support, the ministry signed an agreement for the loan of agricultural equipment for the benefit of the Al-Jiftlik village council and Al-Auja Municipality, which included a tractor, a tipper, and a 500-liter spray tank to serve areas labeled "C" and threatened with takeover.

The ministry also established two units for monitoring insect pests in Ein Yabrud (Ramallah and Al-Bireh) and Shuwayka/Wadi Al-Sham (Tulkarem). In collaboration with FAO and supported by the Canadian government, specialized agricultural equipment was distributed to members of field schools in northern and southern Hebron and Bethlehem. In Bethlehem, 23,200 cartons for packaging grape harvest were distributed to 116 farmers, funded by "WFP" and executed by the agricultural relief. A training workshop for farmers entitled "Good Agricultural Practices to Improve Grape Quality" was also conducted in southern Hebron. In Hebron, pesticides to combat the cochineal pest were distributed to cactus farmers in the town of Idna as part of the emergency plan.

The Ministry of Public Works in Tubas completed asphalt works, reinforced concrete shoulders, and the installation of drains for rainwater on the Tubas-Tayaseer road, to address winter damage and prevent the flooding of Wadi Tayaseer. In Sebastia, the ministry rehabilitated and opened agricultural roads to facilitate citizens' access to their lands, supporting the resilience of the town in the face of challenges. The rehabilitation of a hall at the vocational training center in Nablus was also received, as part of improving the educational and training environment. In Jenin, the intersection of the purification street to Al-Jalboun roundabout and the intersection of Palestine street and the area around the watermelon roundabout were paved, funded by the ministerial committee for emergency works. Work also began on the maintenance of the Jabara-Kafriyat road in Tulkarem.

The Ministry of Local Governance completed the rehabilitation and paving project for the entrance of Ajja town in Jenin governorate at a cost of one million shekels, along with the implementation of internal road projects in Al-Mazra'a Al-Sharqiya town, at a similar value, funded jointly by the government, donor organizations, and donations from citizens.

Additionally, Qalqilya Municipality received vehicles worth €139,000 for sewage and water services, with support from the government and several donors. In the context of local organization and management, Sarda-Abu Qash Municipality was upgraded from classification "C" to "B", in addition to completing financial settlement and offsetting in three local entities: Bal'a, New Fahma, and Yasouf.

The Civil Affairs Authority facilitated maintenance works for Jawwal in Attara and repaired water lines in Sinjel, while in Salfit, they coordinated the repair of a main water line in Kafr Deek. In Nablus, maintenance of water in Huwara was facilitated, and a fire truck was brought to Al-Arqan and two vehicles belonging to the 'Aqraba Municipality were recovered. In Hebron, restoration materials for the old town were brought in, and the movement of crews and vehicles was facilitated. In Tulkarem, an electrical line that was damaged by the occupation around the Tulkarem and Nour Shams refugee camps was repaired.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Palestinian embassies around the world carried out several activities, including a tour in Kafr Malik with the participation of foreign diplomats to expose the crimes of the occupation, and participation in a Security Council session with a speech about the violations in the occupied land, alongside efforts of the embassies to secure urgent relief support for Gaza, and informing governments and civil society about the humanitarian situation and ongoing violations against civilians. The State Minister for Foreign Affairs held a series of diplomatic meetings to stop the aggression on Gaza, notably with ambassadors of Arab states, emphasizing the importance of unity to stop Israeli crimes, and a meeting with the Chinese ambassador appreciating China's support for Palestinian rights.

She also received her Austrian counterpart who called for European pressure to release tax funds, and discussed with the Russian ambassador the threats of settlement in Jerusalem, met with the Egyptian ambassador, and praised Egypt's role in supporting the cause, and called during her meeting with the Palestinian Businessmen Association to activate economic partnerships. In a call with the International Catholic Peace Movement, she called to stop the aggression and recognize Palestine. She also received support calls from Arab and European foreign ministers, emphasizing the importance of cooperation to face challenges.

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced the commencement of arrangements for the Tawjihi examinations in Gaza, and issued a tender for the rehabilitation of the Deir Ammar camp school in Ramallah at a value of $400,000. The Higher Education Council, chaired by the minister, held a meeting to discuss improving educational outcomes and organizing student admission for the academic year 2025-2026. The Scientific Research Council held its first meeting to discuss the development of scientific research and its action plan, along with a special meeting to enhance the quality of the medical specialization and issues of students in the rectification program.

The Minister of Interior participated in the "Partners for Justice" conference, affirming the government's commitment to developing and unifying the justice system, updating legislation, and rebuilding the justice sector in Gaza after ending the aggression.

The Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority delivered 5 tents and a mobile bathroom in Khirbit Al-Tawil after the occupation demolished their homes, and provided building materials to the residents of Ni'lin to support their resilience.

The Land Authority implemented two decisions to stop construction on government land near Mar Saba Monastery in Al-Ebzidiyah. Its president also delivered the 2024 annual report to the Prime Minister.

The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities opened a workshop on the ministry's strategy 2025-2027 with the participation of representatives of tourism and heritage in Palestine, and visited the project to rehabilitate the site of Tel Sultan in Jericho. A joint workshop with the Ministry of Labor was also held to inform workers about available programs, and a memorandum of understanding was signed with the National Library to preserve cultural heritage.

The Ministry of Industry issued 3 new licenses and renewed 10 others, and carried out 28 inspection rounds, with the capital of newly licensed facilities reaching 1,745,000 dinars.

The minister signed a partnership declaration with the United Nations to develop an industrial program, in addition to signing a project to develop the leather industry in Hebron with Italian funding, and discussing with a Saudi delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Industry cooperation to develop Palestinian industry.

He headed the Palestinian delegation to the Industrial Development Council, affirming that the Israeli occupation constitutes the main obstacle to development, despite the qualitative progress that Palestine achieves in the industrial sector.

The Ministry of National Economy granted approvals for 39 non-profit companies with funding of $122 million during the first half of 2025 to support the Gaza sector and enhance national resilience, and carried out 67 inspection rounds, during which violators were referred to the public prosecutor, 11 violations were documented, and 7.3 tons of expired goods were destroyed, along with addressing 30 complaints.

The ministry also registered 61 companies, issued 158 import licenses, 22 commercial transaction cards, and 26 certificates of origin, in addition to registering 36 new traders and 3 trademarks, with hundreds of services provided in the fields of companies and intellectual property.

The Environment Quality Authority began assessing areas rich in biodiversity in Palestine within the national plan, supported by the United Nations Development Program, with a review of criteria and updating areas. The Authority followed up on 13 complaints, carried out 46 inspection rounds, granted environmental approvals for cellular broadcast stations and industrial facilities, and discussed with the World Bank the preparation of a plan for hazardous waste management and developing the garbage dumps of Zahret Al-Fanjan and Al-Minya. They organized training on environmental sustainability and community initiatives that consider gender, and held awareness events and environmental tracks in threatened areas.

The Minister of Labor chaired a meeting of the Entrepreneurship Team to unify efforts in supporting and developing the Palestinian sector, and participated in the Arab preparatory meeting for the Social Development Summit in Tunisia, calling for a common Arab vision for employment, and signed a memorandum of cooperation with the military training authority to develop work environment and occupational safety.

The ministry also briefed the tourism sector on workers' support programs and launched an inspection campaign in Bethlehem to improve construction worker safety. They discussed with civil society institutions the enhancement of workforce skills through vocational training centers to reduce unemployment and enable engagement in the labor market.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Jerusalem Affairs met with a delegation of doctors to discuss challenges in the health sector and held a meeting with an advisor from the Catholic Relief Foundation to expand humanitarian and developmental interventions in the governorate.

The Ministry of Transportation continues its efforts to develop the sector, holding a meeting with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss signing driving license exchange agreements with new Arab and European countries, and continued its digital transformation of its services. It also studied and approved 14 road modification plans, structural plans for the towns of Beit Daqou and Beit Ijza, and 8 transportation profession plans, along with 55 engineering files within regional committees. The ministry participated in preparing the regulatory framework for the towns of Fadl, Kafr Qaleel, and Salem, and the work of the Central Tenders Committee. Field surveys were also conducted at profession sites and new road projects in Sebastia and Ramallah.

The Ministry of Culture continues to support cultural projects in the West Bank and Gaza through the Palestinian Cultural Fund, organizing literary events, workshops, and folk dance classes for children in various governorates to enhance cultural and social awareness. The Minister of Culture also discussed with the Chilean ambassador ways to enhance mutual cultural cooperation.

The Awqaf of Jericho and the Jordan Valley held a ceremony to honor more than 50 Quran memorizers and supporters of Quran memorization centers, and the General Administration for Women's Work organized two awareness seminars in Deir Hatab and Dora about the dangers of drugs and the role of women in prevention. The Awqaf of Tulkarem also conducted a Tajweed exam for 1,480 students from Tulkarem and the occupied interior.

Moreover, the women's work departments in Tulkarem and Jenin organized religious seminars in celebration of the Hijri New Year 1447, in cooperation with the Awqaf directorates.
