
Health Ministry in Gaza: The fuel shortage crisis in hospitals has reached unprecedented levels
SadaNews - The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip stated on Saturday that the fuel shortage crisis necessary for operating electric generators in hospitals remains stagnant at unprecedented levels.
The ministry added in a statement that the crisis exacerbates the severe depletion of the healthcare system and what remains of functioning hospitals.
It pointed out that the increasing pressure from critical injuries heightens the need to ensure the continued operation of electric generators to run vital departments.
It accused the Israeli occupation of deliberately implementing a policy of restricting the entry of fuel quantities that do not provide additional time for hospital operations, indicating that the continuation of temporary and emergency solutions means waiting for the cessation of life-saving departments.
The ministry mentioned that engineering teams in hospitals are exhausted in monitoring the operation of generators and that the conservation measures have become futile.
It renewed its urgent appeal to the concerned authorities to intervene and pressure the occupation to allow the entry of the necessary fuel supplies for the operation of electric generators.
