Qatar Announces the Death of Former Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani
SadaNews - The Amiri Diwan in the State of Qatar announced on Sunday the death of former Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
In a statement from the Qatar News Agency, it was said: "With hearts believing in God’s decree and destiny, the Amiri Diwan mourns the great national loss of the late Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, who passed away on Sunday, 27 Muharram 1448, corresponding to July 12, 2026, at the age of 74."
The statement added: "May God bless the late national figure with His vast mercy and forgiveness, and grant him eternal peace in His paradise alongside the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous, and what an excellent companionship they are. May God reward him abundantly for his noble and immortal contributions to his homeland and the Arab and Islamic nation, and may He inspire us all with patience and solace."
