After the escalation with America.. Iran renews its attacks on Arab countries

SadaNews - The Gulf region witnessed a new military escalation today, Sunday, as Iran renewed its attacks on Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, and Kuwait, while the four countries announced the activation of their defense systems to deal with missiles and drones, amidst heightened security measures and warnings to residents.

The Qatari Ministry of Defense announced that the armed forces thwarted a missile attack targeting the country, confirming the readiness of the air defense systems to handle any threats. The Qatari Ministry of Interior also affirmed that the level of security threat remains high, urging citizens and residents to stay at home and not to leave except for necessity and to adhere to official instructions until further notice.

Simultaneously, explosions were heard in the capital, Doha, while reporters from AFP observed air interception operations in the city’s sky, as authorities continued to send security alerts to mobile phones.

In the UAE, the Ministry of Defense announced that it is dealing with missile and drone attacks coming from Iran, clarifying that the sounds heard in various parts of the country were due to interception operations carried out by air defense systems against ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones.

Meanwhile, in Bahrain, Bahrain Television confirmed that air defense systems intercepted and destroyed the Iranian aerial attacks, before authorities later announced the issuance of an "all-clear" alert and the end of the warning state after completing interception operations.

In a new development, the attacks expanded to include Kuwait, where the Kuwaiti army announced that it is currently engaging hostile targets within its airspace, marking the first official announcement of interception operations conducted by the Kuwaiti armed forces since the onset of the recent escalation, though no additional details regarding the nature of the targets or the results of the interception operations have been released yet.

This development comes hours after the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced targeting a military base in Jordan, amid the ongoing military confrontation between Iran and the United States.

Earlier, the U.S. military announced that its third round of airstrikes against Iranian targets had concluded, confirming that it targeted military sites and installations for missiles, drones, and communications networks, in response to attacks that targeted commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.

Conversely, Iranian television reported that the cities of Bushehr, Kangan, Deir, and Asaluyeh were subjected to American attacks, while Iranian media reported explosions in several coastal areas.

This escalation comes in the context of the Revolutionary Guard previously announcing the closure of the Strait of Hormuz "until further notice," raising fears of an expansion of military confrontations and their implications for maritime security and energy markets, as the scope of attacks includes an increasing number of countries in the region.
