Six Israeli Incursions in Southern Syria Within Hours

SadaNews - The Syrian official news agency "SANA" reported that the countryside of Dara’a and Quneitra witnessed six separate Israeli incursions, which included home raids, the establishment of temporary military checkpoints, the interrogation of several civilians, and the arrest of a young man from the Quneitra countryside, who was released after a few hours.

SANA explained that "Israeli occupation forces entered the town of Jumla in western Dara’a on Friday evening, raiding and searching several homes, and that this force consisted of 8 military vehicles and a tank, which set off from the Tal Abu al-Ghaythar point towards the Wadi al-Raqad area, on the administrative border between the governorates of Quneitra and Dara’a, then entered the town of Jumla, coinciding with the flight of drones in the region's skies."

An Israeli force made up of 7 vehicles also encroached earlier on Friday in the village of Ma’riya in western Dara’a, searched several houses, stopped passersby, and interrogated them before withdrawing from the area.

Another occupation force consisting of 4 military vehicles also incursed the village of Ain Ziyuan in southern Quneitra, raiding a house and detaining one of its residents for several hours. The official agency noted that Israel continues to "violate the disengagement agreement of 1974 through its incursions in southern Syria and its repeated assaults on civilians, including raids, arrests, land leveling, and shelling, while Syria asserts that all actions taken by the occupying forces in Syrian territories are void and null, and do not entail any legal effects under international law, renewing its demand for the international community to bear its responsibilities, put an end to these violations, and compel Israel to fully withdraw from southern Syria."
