Man killed in car explosion in Jaffa

SadaNews - A young man was killed this morning, Sunday, due to a car explosion in the city of Jaffa, in a crime that shook the area.

Local sources reported that the victim of the murder in Jaffa was an Arab young man from the city, who was killed when an explosive device detonated in his car, while his child was injured, as he was accompanying his father on the way to school at the moment of the explosion.

"Magen David Adom" teams reported that they received a notification about an explosion of a vehicle in Jaffa, and as a result, medical teams arrived at the scene.

Upon their arrival, paramedics found a young man inside the car who was unconscious and suffering from severe injuries, and after conducting medical examinations, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The explosion caused significant damage to the vehicle, while police forces and explosives experts spread around the site and began an investigation to determine the circumstances of the vehicle explosion in Jaffa, without announcing any additional details so far.

In the context of murder crimes, young Bakr Nasirat (19 years old) was killed, and another young man was seriously injured due to gunfire in the city of Taybeh in the southern Triangle area last night.

With the killing of the young man in Jaffa, the death toll from murder crimes in the Arab community since the beginning of this year has risen to 132 dead, amidst a continuing wave of violence and organized crime sweeping the Arab community, amid accusations against the government and police of failing to take serious steps to curb this phenomenon.

Data shows that most victims died from gunfire, while criticism of the performance of the Israeli police continues due to their inability to curb the activities of criminal organizations, and their failure to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice, which exacerbates the situation of personal insecurity and leads to an increase in the death toll year after year.
