Incursions and Arrests in the West Bank and Jerusalem, Attacks by Settlers on Palestinian Properties

SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces launched a wide-ranging incursion campaign on Sunday morning and dawn, targeting various areas in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, including raids and searches of dozens of homes, arrests, and field interrogations with citizens, alongside the continued assault by settlers on Palestinians and their properties.

The Prisoners Club announced that the occupation forces arrested at least 11 Palestinians during the campaign, while a young man was injured by occupation fire during the incursion into Qalandiya camp north of occupied Jerusalem.

In Nablus Governorate, occupation forces raided several neighborhoods within the city, arresting Abdul Rahman Alaa Al-Masry from Al-Sikka Street, and Wael and Hamza Arafat from the "Sama Nablus" area in the northern mountain, alongside Baraa Tamer Saad from Asekar Camp east of the city.

They also conducted a wide raid campaign in the town of Burqa northwest of Nablus, resulting in the arrest of Amin Desouqi and his son Asid, Salim Desouqi, Nidal Saif, and Hani Thaer.

In Qalandiya camp, occupation forces raided several houses, searched them, and wreaked havoc on their contents, also detaining several young men and subjecting them to field interrogations, before arresting two citizens, one of whom was identified as the young man Ayman Al-Jamzawi.

Escalation of Attacks by Occupation and Settlers in the West Bank

In the context of settlers' assaults, groups of settlers set fires late Saturday night near the homes of citizens in the Khallayl Al-Louz area southeast of Bethlehem, causing panic among residents.

Local sources reported that the settlers invaded the area and ignited the fire around a house belonging to the Al-Ahmar family, coinciding with gunfire, which threatened to spread flames to neighboring homes.

The residents managed to control and extinguish the fire before it reached the houses, while occupation forces invaded the area following the attack, providing protection to the settlers, according to sources.

In this context, the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission documented the escalation of Israeli assaults in the West Bank and Jerusalem, indicating the recording of 1,659 assaults during the past month of May, including 1,108 assaults carried out by the occupation army and 551 assaults perpetrated by the settlers.

These violations included direct physical assaults, uprooting trees, burning fields, preventing farmers from accessing their lands, seizing properties, as well as demolishing homes and agricultural facilities.
