The Death of a Girl and Search for Another from Abu Sinan in the Jordan River

SadaNews - A girl has died and another is missing, both from the town of Abu Sinan and aged 13, after being swept away by the waters of the Jordan River in the Upper Galilee region. Crews from the Fire and Rescue Authority, diving teams, and the Israeli police have arrived on the scene and have commenced their search for them. The Israeli Fire and Rescue Authority reported that several teams are searching for the two girls in the waters of the Jordan River after losing contact with them. The "Magen David Adom" later announced that one of the girls was found without signs of life, and the medical team declared her dead at the scene. A paramedic from the medical team stated, "A few hours ago we received a report about a girl drowning in the Jordan River, and after continuous search efforts, the rescue forces managed to retrieve a 13-year-old girl who was unconscious and without a pulse or breathing. We conducted medical examinations, but we had no choice but to declare her dead." In a statement from the Fire and Rescue Authority, it was noted, "After receiving the report about losing contact with the two girls, the teams arrived at the scene and began searching for them using inflatable boats along with other equipment used in the water." Thirteen firefighting and rescue teams, along with divers, are working, some of whom are operating under the water in search of the girls, according to the Fire and Rescue Authority. The Israeli police stated that they received a report regarding the missing girls, and following that, a large police force, a helicopter, and volunteers from the rescue unit and the Fire and Rescue Authority arrived at the scene, starting extensive search operations to locate the girls.
