Oil tanker hit by unknown projectile in the Strait of Hormuz
SadaNews - An oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz was hit today (Saturday) by an unknown projectile, causing damage to its bridge, but no crew members were harmed, according to two maritime authorities.
The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported receiving "a report of an incident in the Strait of Hormuz. The captain of the oil tanker stated that it was hit by an unknown projectile."
It noted that "damage occurred to the bridge, and all crew members are fine, and no environmental damage has been recorded so far," according to the French Press Agency.
The British maritime security company Vanguard Tech explained that the damaged oil tanker is named "Kiko" and flies the Panama flag.
