Bank of Palestine Strengthens Its Development Role with $4.1 Million for Social Responsibility in 2025

SadaNews - The Bank of Palestine announced the size of its contributions in the field of social responsibility for the year 2025, which amounted to $4,175,031, as part of its programs aimed at supporting the Palestinian community and promoting sustainable development across various vital sectors, as part of its ongoing commitment to its developmental role alongside its banking role.

The distribution of the bank's contributions according to the social responsibility budget reflects its developmental priorities, with the entrepreneurship and education sector receiving the largest share of 48% of the total allocations, while the health sector received 17%, and 28% was dedicated to humanitarian interventions aimed at enhancing the resilience of needy groups. The sports sector accounted for 0.30%, the environment sector 1%, while 3% was allocated to both the culture and arts sector and the economic development and empowerment sector, reflecting the diversity and integration of the bank's programs in serving the community.

In terms of the impact achieved during 2025, the social responsibility programs of the Bank of Palestine showed extensive results, benefiting more than 250,000 indirect beneficiaries, alongside more than 55,000 direct beneficiaries, while educational interventions included more than 8,500 students and supported over 100 women entrepreneurs under economic empowerment programs. Around 50 schools directly and indirectly benefited from the bank's interventions, in addition to providing more than 50 job opportunities through the projects and initiatives supported during the year.

In a related context, the Bank of Palestine received the award for Best Bank in Palestine in recognition of its prominent role in implementing social responsibility programs within Palestine, as part of the annual ranking of the prominent global magazine Euromoney for the year 2025, in an achievement that reflects its position in the banking sector and its growing role in community support and development.
