Trump Announces Iran's Agreement to "Highest Level" of Nuclear Inspections
SadaNews: President Donald Trump announced that Iran has fully agreed to undergo the highest level of nuclear inspections for an extended period in the future, pointing out that this approval was a fundamental condition for the continuation of the negotiation process. Without this Iranian concession, there would be no room for further negotiations between the two parties.
Trump explained that the current talks with Tehran are progressing well, and Washington has agreed to lift the maritime blockade based on those significant concessions made by Iran.
In the context of the measures guaranteeing the agreement, the American president confirmed he would keep all naval vessels in their current positions to ensure full integrity in managing the nuclear file, threatening to reimpose the blockade immediately if necessary or in the event that Iran retracts its commitments.
However, Trump reassured markets and international parties that the option of re-imposing the blockade is largely unlikely at this stage due to the positive progress made.
Regarding the financial aspect, Trump revealed the mechanism that will be used for the released funds, explaining that the money from which the U.S. Treasury will lift restrictions will not go directly to Tehran, but rather will be deposited in a secured escrow account that is completely under the control and supervision of Washington, to ensure it is used for the agreed-upon purposes and to closely monitor Iranian behavior in the upcoming period.
