Occupation demolishes three buildings in the Tori neighborhood of Kafr Aqab and bulldozes the road leading to the neighborhood

SadaNews - Today, Monday, Israeli occupation forces demolished three residential buildings under construction in the Tori neighborhood of Kafr Aqab, north of the occupied city of Jerusalem. This coincided with extensive bulldozing operations and the cutting off of the main road in the neighborhood, which led to the isolation of the area and hindered the movement of citizens. Meanwhile, a citizen was injured by the occupation's bullets, and cases of suffocation were reported among high school girls due to the release of tear gas canisters.

The Jerusalem Governorate reported that the buildings demolished by the occupation belonged to the Abu Rmeilah, Al-Ja'ab and Abu Suneina families. Occupation forces demolished a three-story residential building belonging to a citizen from the Abu Rmeilah family, a two-story building containing four apartments belonging to a citizen from the Al-Ja'ab family, in addition to another two-story building containing four apartments belonging to a citizen from the Abu Suneina family.

The occupation forces deployed more military reinforcements to the neighborhood coinciding with the demolition operations, imposing a heavy presence of vehicles and troops in the area. Meanwhile, the occupation bulldozers commenced extensive earthworks on the main street of the neighborhood, creating a hole estimated to be about three meters deep.

The occupation authorities had previously notified all buildings located adjacent to the Apartheid Wall of demolition, claiming they were within a distance of less than six meters from the wall.

In a related context, a citizen was injured by rubber bullets during the incursion into the town. The Palestinian Red Crescent teams reported that they dealt with a knee injury received from the Al-Shifa Medical Center in Kafr Aqab.

Additionally, the occupation forces fired several tear gas canisters around Al-Duwah School, resulting in cases of suffocation among high school girls during their exams. This also caused delays in the arrival of several students to exam halls in nearby schools.
