SadaNews - A report issued by the Government Communication Center highlighted the most important developmental and reform interventions implemented by the Palestinian government during the past week (June 7, 2026 – June 13, 2026), as follows:

- Prime Minister Muhammad Mustafa met with a high-level European delegation on the sidelines of the European-Palestinian Investment Platform meeting, calling for intensified international and European pressure to stop illegal Israeli actions and settler terrorism.

He also discussed with the European Commissioner for Mediterranean Affairs the escalation in the West Bank and the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. During the weekly cabinet session, he confirmed the completion of final preparations for launching a central solar energy project in the central West Bank at an estimated cost of nearly 37 million dollars, and discussed with a delegation from Bethlehem Governorate a comprehensive plan to revive the area of Sulem Springs and enhance its resilience and protect it from occupation and settlers.

- The Ministry of Social Development implemented an integrated package of social and humanitarian interventions and services in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, targeting the most vulnerable groups and needy families. 6,025 families in the West Bank benefited from food and non-food assistance and shopping vouchers with an estimated value of 923,992 shekels. In the Gaza Strip, 553,966 food interventions were carried out, including the distribution of fruits, vegetables, infant milk, meals, bread, and food parcels, along with 2,829 cups and units of potable water, and 5,777 non-food interventions that included tents, health parcels, blankets, cleaning supplies, and basic necessities. In the field of social protection, 145 interventions for women's protection were implemented in the West Bank and 7,883 interventions in the Gaza Strip, including psychological support, consultations, referrals, and follow-up on cases of violence. Additionally, 74 interventions in childhood and 87 interventions in youth matters were conducted in the West Bank, and 130 interventions for child protection were carried out in the Gaza Strip. 122 orphans in the West Bank benefited from various interventions, while the number of orphan-related interventions in the Gaza Strip reached 2,008, including assistance, sponsorships, and psychological support. The ministry also executed 38 interventions for persons with disabilities in the West Bank and delivered a bus to Al-Thuraya Center in Nablus Governorate to support care and rehabilitation services, along with 33 interventions for the elderly, 251 new and renewed health insurance services, 24 interventions in nursery matters, and 7 interventions in the field of economic empowerment, in addition to implementing supportive initiatives and interventions for charitable associations, volunteer work, and community training to enhance social protection and support the most needy groups.

- The Ministry of Education and Higher Education completed the finishing works of the mixed Khillat Hayan School building in Yatta and external works worth 350,000 dollars. It also carried out maintenance and rehabilitation work for 6 schools at a cost of 470,000 dollars, including 3 schools in Bir Zeit, rehabilitated "STEM" laboratories in Ni’lin and Bani Zeid Girls School, and maintained Bardala School. The ministry commenced maintenance works for the Jericho Directorate building at a cost of 55,000 dollars, signed a contract for the expansion of Duma Secondary School at a cost of 900,000 dollars, and referred tenders worth 144,400 dollars that include maintaining Kfourit School worth 100,000 dollars and supervising the expansion of Duma School worth 44,400 dollars, in addition to opening a tender for maintaining the Palestine Educational Space in Tulkarem worth 80,000 dollars, and announcing 3 tenders worth a total of 1,252,000 dollars that include constructing Bureen Basic School worth 1,180,000 dollars, supervising the rehabilitation of Bizzariya School worth 30,000 dollars, and supervising the finishing of Beit Dajan School worth 42,000 dollars. The minister participated in a visit to Khan al-Ahmar, launched an awareness campaign for high school students, held training for educational supervisors, and announced the results of the best musical production competition. The minister also held a Scientific Research Council meeting to discuss issues and policies regarding scientific research and artificial intelligence, and chaired a board meeting of the National Authority for Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Higher Education Institutions to discuss several files aimed at enhancing the outcomes of the higher education sector.

- The Ministry of Public Works and Housing continued to implement and develop infrastructure and housing projects in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. It began paving the Khallat al-Mai – Am al-Saffa – Yatta road project, which is 3.3 km long in Hebron Governorate and serves more than 50,000 citizens, contributing to alleviating traffic congestion. Tenders were announced for the rehabilitation of the Yabrud – Silwad roads in Ramallah and al-Bireh, al-Abidiyah – Wadi al-Arayis in Bethlehem, the construction of the administration and auditorium building at Nablus University for Vocational and Technical Education, and the expansion of Bureen Basic School for boys south of Nablus. In the Gaza Strip, the ministry, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme, completed the construction, equipping, and delivery of "Shat" shelter center in Khan Younis, which includes 67 tents and fully serviced facilities, along with the installation of 66 "RHU" tents for returning farmers in Gaza and northern Gaza.

- The Minister of Agriculture participated in the food loss forum in Istanbul, Turkey, along with representatives from over 42 countries. The minister met with farmers from Yatta and al-Samu and distributed financial grants to 141 beneficiaries, in addition to assisting 450 male and female farmers in Dura as part of the field and fodder crop development project in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, supported by the Danish government, while announcing the funding of 27 water ponds and providing a sandy filter for Beit al-Rosh, and distributing 30 agricultural bags in cooperation with the Land Research Center. The ministry also signed an agreement to rehabilitate 4 kilometers of agricultural roads and develop water sources in Aqaba – Tubas funded by the Swedish "We Effect" organization under the (LIFT) program. It collaborated with the Land Research Center to distribute agricultural equipment and tools to 20 farmers in Idna. The ministry, in cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), organized a training workshop titled "Finding Marketing Opportunities" for 15 beneficiaries of livestock breeders in Saida – Tulkarem, and the Agricultural Relief Association, under the ministry’s supervision, began distributing requirements for rehabilitating grape farms as part of a project funded by the Dutch representation, targeting 174 farmers in Jiftlik, Jenin, Tubas, and Nablus to rehabilitate about 328.5 dunams. The ministry also conducted the seventh training meeting in the "My Initiative" project for 32 farmers from sheep breeders in South Hebron, and a field day for 25 farmers from Abu Dis and Beit Surik funded by the Moroccan Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency. In addition, the ministry, supported by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, conducted specialized training on public safety in dairy products manufacturing and good farm management, targeting 116 female farmers in Surif, Mithlon, Siris, Yabrud, Idna, and Marah Rabah as part of a project to enhance practices of livestock breeders throughout all stages of the animal value chain.

- The Water Authority continued its efforts to enhance water security by studying the development of the water reservoir and water line in the town of Beit Fajjar and increasing the supply quantities within a World Bank-funded project, as well as discussing technical solutions to improve the performance of the water reservoir in the village of Sawiya and enhancing its water infrastructure, alongside speeding up technical measures to enhance water supply efficiency and increase the productivity of one of the wells in Jenin. It also received five new water transport trucks in the Gaza Strip with a capacity of 10 cubic meters, supported by the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action through the United Nations Development Programme, which will contribute to improving water transport and distribution operations and expanding the scope of service.

- The Ministry of Transportation and Communications launched a national campaign to license agricultural tractors in Halhul, licensing 20 tractors in its first phase to support farmers, while continuing to implement a 50% reduction in transport fares and resolving the University of Birzeit line crisis, holding meetings with public transport unions and private and tourist transport companies to develop services. Regulatory campaigns were carried out resulting in the seizure of a vehicle with stolen plates engaged in illegal transport, the confiscation of 23 violating and illegal vehicles, the removal of 60 violating vehicles from the streets, addressing 10 complaints, and conducting 15 inspection tours. The ministry concluded specialized training for the installation of automatic weather monitoring stations. During the week, it completed 9,042 vehicle transactions and 4,461 driver transactions, received 27 new complaints, and closed 48 complaints, reiterating its commitment to developing the transport sector, enhancing road safety, and improving services.

- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates held a briefing for the diplomatic corps accredited to the State of Palestine regarding health conditions in the occupied Palestinian territories and the challenges faced by the health sector amid the ongoing Israeli aggression and targeting of Palestinian institutions, with the participation of the Foreign Minister and the Minister of Health. It also organized a tour for the diplomatic and media corps to the Khan al-Ahmar gathering to observe the citizens' conditions and the repercussions of the occupation measures. The ministry welcomed the imposition of sanctions by the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, France, New Zealand, Norway, and Ireland on parties involved in financing and supporting settler terrorism in the West Bank, while sending several messages to the world about the attack on the town of Hawara and the crime of executing the infant Sam Abu Haikal and injuring his family in Hebron, calling for the activation of international sanctions to hold the perpetrators of crimes accountable and stop the settlers' assaults.

- The Ministry of Industry issued a license to establish a new industrial facility and 3 licenses for the first time for industrial facilities with a capital of approximately 5,234,000 Jordanian dinars, creating 28 job opportunities. It also renewed 15 industrial licenses and 5 licenses for quarries, conducted 25 inspection tours of industrial facilities, and issued 2 accreditation certificates for laboratories, and reviewed 1 quality file, in addition to receiving and addressing 2 complaints.

- The Minister of Interior opened a meeting of the thematic task force for police in partnership with the European Police Mission, attended by the General Director of Police, the head of the mission, donors, and representatives of international institutions, emphasizing the importance of the meeting in enhancing international partnership and developing the Palestinian police force to enable it to perform its duties in maintaining security, enforcing the law, and serving citizens despite the challenges. Field reports from the police showed the arrest of 1,170 wanted persons and the execution of 2,484 judicial orders, handling 49 tasks related to drug cases, and monitoring 257 incidents including assaults, thefts, fights, and criminal cases. The Civil Defense performed 669 firefighting missions and 103 rescue missions, issued 223 permits for industrial establishments and crafts, inspected and licensed 204 elevators, and conducted 855 field tours to monitor public safety measures. Meanwhile, the customs police dealt with 100 cases of tax and customs evasion and monitored the markets, destroying 2.1 tons of expired and unauthorized goods that did not meet specifications.

- The Palestinian Labor Ministry, through the Palestinian Employment Fund, advanced the comprehensive transitional community projects in the Gaza Strip, increasing the number of beneficiaries from training, awareness, and guidance programs to 2,250 beneficiaries. The minister also affirmed during her participation in the (114th) International Labor Conference in Geneva via video link that supporting Palestinian workers is an international and humanitarian responsibility, noting more than 81,000 violations against Palestinians and the deprivation of over 200,000 workers from working within the Green Line. In terms of inspection, the ministry executed 46 visits to 42 establishments benefitting 356 workers, targeting safety and occupational health procedures in 39 establishments and 670 workers, while approving 7 cooperative grants and providing a series of regulatory, administrative, and consulting services to the cooperative sector.

- The Environmental Quality Authority carried out 52 monitoring and inspection rounds on industrial facilities, followed up on 10 complaints, granted 6 environmental approvals for industrial projects and an electrical line project, issued 10 permits for the import of chemicals, and returned 3 Israeli trucks loaded with waste and earth to their source in the territories of 1948 after seizing them while trying to enter the Palestinian territories illegally. The head of the Environmental Quality Authority, Eng. Zghoul Samhan, discussed during his participation in the eighth session of the Global Environment Facility Assembly in Uzbekistan, the support for Palestine's efforts to protect biodiversity and natural resources and enhance international environmental cooperation and partnerships, while the authority organized, on the occasion of World Environment Day, outreach and training activities targeting university students and workers in the banking sector to enhance environmental awareness and promote sustainable practices.

- The Minister of Women's Affairs participated in the graduation of the seventh and eighth batches of the "Palestinian" Mini-MBA program for business management, reaffirming the ministry's efforts to mobilize resources and develop partnerships to support women's economic empowerment through over 80 productive women's initiatives funded and partnered internationally. She also participated in the governmental tour in the suburbs of Jerusalem Governorate, including Khan al-Ahmar and Abu Dis, emphasizing that issues of Jerusalemite women represent a national priority, while continuing to work to enhance the resilience of Palestinian women and empower them and expand the supportive partnerships for them.

- The Ministry of Local Government continued to promote local development and environmental sustainability by launching a climate change response awareness campaign in urban development, enhancing integration between local authorities, and making new regulatory decisions. It completed the Beit Oula Park project worth approximately 357,000 euros, continued developing internal roads and infrastructure in Tamoun, and honored the winners of the public green space design competition. The ministry also followed up on the needs of Nablus Municipality and assisted in mobilizing funding for new developmental projects.

- The Civil Affairs Commission continued its humanitarian and field interventions in various governorates to support the resilience of citizens and facilitate services amid closures and current conditions. In Bethlehem, internal roads in Teqou and Husan were reopened, and dirt berms were removed to facilitate the movement of citizens. In Hebron, the Safa – Beit Umar road was opened north of Halhul, coordinating the entry of reconstruction engineers to the Ibrahimi Mosque, maintaining Yasser Amro School in Tal Romaida, coordinating a funeral in the old town, and facilitating agricultural works and the maintenance of water and electricity facilities in several areas. In Jenin, the interventions included removing goods from commercial shops, facilitating maintenance of internet, electricity, and water networks, transporting medical cases, and coordinating the cucumber harvest season. In Nablus, a waste vehicle was recovered, and farmers were facilitated to access their lands in Qusra and Majdal Bani Fadl. In Jerusalem, the entry of Jerusalem Electricity crews to maintain generators was coordinated, and in Ramallah and al-Bireh, the repair of a water line in Ein Samiya was followed up, and the necessary maintenance works were coordinated.

- The Energy Authority enhanced its efforts to develop the energy sector by granting "Conserve Watt Solutions" a license for energy auditing to support energy efficiency and reduce consumption and costs, and enable specialized female staff in the sector. It also discussed with Tubas Electricity Company the development of electricity services, future solar energy projects, and improving electrical network efficiency, while organizing, in cooperation with the Ministry of Local Government, a workshop for local authorities benefiting from the "Sun Palestine" program, which supports the transition to renewable energy and currently targets 22 local authorities with a plan to reach 80 authorities by 2030.

- The Minister of National Economy opened the "Basmat Amal" shopping festival in Jenin to support the national product, while the ministry launched, with the support of the European Union, a logistics center project in Jericho to enhance trade and logistics services efficiency and support investment and export. The ministry also reinforced the resilience of micro and small enterprises through the "Sawa 2" project, conducted 91 inspection tours yielding the seizure of approximately 7.8 tons and the destruction of 83 tons of violating products, seizing a warehouse with large quantities of milk and oils of unknown origin, besides addressing 22 consumer complaints and withdrawing 15 samples for laboratory testing. The ministry registered 20 companies and 6 traders and commercial names, issued 348 import licenses and 5 external trade cards and certificates of origin, registered 5 trademarks, and provided 16 services in the field of intellectual property.

- The Minister of Culture participated in commemorating the late writer Yassin al-Sadi, appreciating his literary career. The Ministry of Culture and the Sahouri Cultural Bureau announced the book "Bethlehem in the Frankish Era" by historian Ibrahim Fawzi Awda, and sponsored the announcement and signing of the book "Tales Untold" by writer Hanaa Murad Masoudi. The ministry also organized a series of cultural and heritage events in several governorates, including activities for children in Bethlehem to enhance national identity, the storytelling event in Qalqilya as part of the "Tales Blooming in the Schools of the Homeland" project, in addition to art and heritage workshops and national seminars in Salfit and Qalqilya tackling Palestinian heritage, identity, and national memory. The ministry participated in the inauguration of the archaeological museum in al-Samu and announced the completion of the historical buildings documentation project, in addition to unveiling a model of the old town in Yatta, and organized a heritage activity in the Deheisha camp in Bethlehem to enhance the cultural heritage among women.

- The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities announced the completion of the documentation project for historical buildings in the town of al-Samu, where 492 historical buildings were documented, forming a unique architectural and cultural record. The ministry also opened the al-Samu archaeological museum, which continued to attract visitors, registering 2,189 visitors during the first days of its opening. As part of the ministry’s field activities, it supervised restoration works of a historical building in the old town in Nablus in partnership with the North Assira Municipality, and an exploratory route was organized in Ain Qenya in cooperation with the Palestinian Forum for Exploratory Photography. In Jericho, the ministry welcomed a delegation from the Japanese embassy to review completed projects at Hisham Palace, while Salfit Governorate hosted the "Palestine on Bike" team with the participation of 90 young men and women as part of activities aimed at enhancing community tourism and introducing Palestinian heritage sites.
