Washington to Israel: The Lebanon ceasefire remains in effect despite any developments with Iran
SadaNews: The Israeli Channel 12 reported, citing unnamed sources, that the United States has informed Israel that the ceasefire with Lebanon will remain in effect regardless of any developments with Iran.
Despite the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah being in effect since April 17 and then extended after direct talks between the ambassadors of Lebanon and Israel in Washington, the Israeli army continues to carry out attacks particularly in southern Lebanon, resulting in fatalities and injuries. Meanwhile, Hezbollah conducts operations targeting Israeli forces in southern Lebanon and launches rockets and drones towards the occupied territories.
Since the outbreak of the conflict on March 2, Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon have resulted in the deaths of over 2,600 Lebanese and the displacement of more than one million people.
This comes as the Israeli occupation army issued a new warning to evacuate the towns of Qana, Dhabial, Qaqiya al-Jisr, and Sarifa in southern Lebanon.
